I’m Rafael Niñoly, born in Montevideo in 1941, and I’m a Uruguayan architect. I earned my degree in architecture from the Universidad de la República in 1967 and established my own practice soon after. Throughout my career, I’ve been known for my unique and innovative designs, blending elements of modernism with traditional Uruguayan architecture. Some of my most notable works include the Solís Theatre, the Montevideo Shopping Center, and the Punta del Este Convention Center. I’m proud of my impact on Uruguayan architecture, which has earned me numerous awards and accolades throughout my career. My legacy is one of exceptional design and architectural innovation.
